Evol Trials Con-Witnesses

As a Witness for the Defense, you must present evidence that supports the Theory of Evolution. In this trial, you will take on the persona of a person who examined, and researched evidence that has supported Evolution Theory. To prepare for your role, you must research one of the following personages. You must know a little of their life and biographies. But more important, you must know their research, and how it supports the Theory of Evolution.

Michael Denton (Molecular Biologist/Medical Doctor) see A Theory In Crisis.

Colin Patterson (Paleontologist) see Doubts About Darwin, TE Woodward

Michael Behe (Professor of Biochemistry at Lehigh University) see Darwin's Black Box

Philip E. Johnson (Professor of Law, UCB) see How Did We Get Here? (A Cyber Debate) and Darwin on Trial? By PE Johnson.

Henry M. Morris (Director of the Institute for Creation Research) see Scientific Creationism

Peter Gegenheimer (Associate Professor of Molecular Biosciences. Lawrence KS) see Intelligent Design

In your research, you must be prepared for the following questions:

State you name for the record.
Why are you an expert on the Theory of Evolution?
What research have you done which refutes the Theory of Evolution?

But remember that the Defense will know something about the work that your researched, so be prepared for the tricky questions, like

If I may make a similar comparison to those that you make to evolution, isn't true that our own technology has made large leaps, and has not always moved in small, smooth steps?
Isn't true that since your book, you have changed your mind several times about the Theory of Evolution?

The good witness would have prepared themselves for the both the obvious questions, and questions that highlight the problems in their own work.
