Paleontology Sites

Solenhofen

Located in the state of Bavaria, Germany, between Nuremberg and Munich, Solenhofen dates to the Mesozoic era, from the late Jurassic to the Cretaceous period (about 150-65 millions years ago). Fossils are found in Solenhofen Limestone, named after the small town of Solenhofen.
